Last night we ate lobster poutine. I was a bit skeptical ordering it as I find regular poutine with gravy to be quite gross. This version of poutine was fries with lobster bisque and chunks of lobster meat. It still looked gross (hence no photo) but tasted delicious.
Early morning walk along Eagle Lake in Acadia National Park. Found a couple of pink lady’s slippers.
Another couple walking there noticed my Bowdoin hat. The lady and her daughter both went to Bowdoin College. I guess finding Bowdoin alumni in Maine is probably not rare.

Went hiking to areas of Acadia National park we had not covered before. We could climb up on Bald mtn and Parkman mtn before the rain caught us. Gave up on two other peaks and went down on a trail that was basically a stream.
Today’s hike was up on Dorr mountain. Took the Ladder trail up and came down on Gorge path. It was supposed to be cold cloudy and rainy but turned out to be sunny and hot. Still a very enjoyable hike.
Bike ride partly on Park Loop Road and partly on Carriage roads in Acadia National Park. Back to my favorite vacation location.
Inspired by my daughter to make a playlist where one song is added every day. Starting off with one of my most favorite songs - Like a rolling stone by Bob Dylan.
Yearly goal writing and performance evaluation was bad enough. A couple of years ago they switched to having this exercise every 6 months. What a waste of time and energy! The fucker from McKinsey who came up with this idea is going to get horrible diseases.
Fedex has really reached rock bottom. An overnight package (with protein samples on dry ice) sent to me from Cambridge, MA to Groton, CT came within 5 miles from me and then was redirected to Missouri due to some unspecified security reason. WTF! We send dozens if not hundreds of packages between these two sites every week. They still haven’t figured this out? Now these samples are ruined and will have to make them again.
Went running this morning after more than a year. Will be on a lookout for aches and pains to set in later in the day.

Great episode of 99% Invisible podcast about the sounds of street vendors of Mexico City. I remember hearing interesting calls from street vendors while growing up. Did not hear as many of those sounds and saw very few street vendors during my last visit to India this year.
