United airlines is charging fees for checked-in bags and then they offered to check-in my carry-on bag at the gate for free. What kind of game is this? Sorry if I am posting obvious things but this is all new to me. First time traveling after almost 4 years.
Going for a conference to San Diego after a long long time. Interestingly, the weather in San Diego is going to be the same as here in Connecticut.

Got this photo of Elephant trunk nebula printed on canvas. It looks quite good considering its big size - 20x30 inches. Wasn’t sure how it will turn out. Last week, it was also featured on this website. They wrote such a nice description.
Jupiter and Venus are lighting up the western sky. They will come very close to each other in 2 weeks.

The inflation came down compared to last June but, that doesn’t mean prices will come down. The prices will stay the same or go higher in a smaller increment as inflation gets lower. We will never see the prices of goods same as December 2021 unless we get deflation.

The Pleiades (M45) aka The Seven Sisters aka Subaru is an open star cluster ~444 light years away. It is the nearest star cluster to us. The reflection nebulae around the young stars are left from the time of their formation about 100 million years ago.

There weren’t any great commercials on SuperBowl broadcast last night. I thought the phone hold music beer commercial was the best. But, there were so many beer commercials that I don’t recall what brand it was.
Why were there so many ads for Fox TV shows? Couldn’t they get enough adverisers to fill up all these super expensive ad slots?
Those scan me digital NFT ads were the worst.
At a USASWIMMING swim meet this morning - first in 3 years and most probably, the last ever. So many great swim meet memories over the years.
