I thought the drought from this Spring and Summer was going to be bad for Fall colors. Happy to report that I thought wrong. Right now, central Connecticut is just gorgeous. Another week for the coastline to get ablaze I guess.

Four years ago when we were in the market for a car, we seriously considered a Tesla. It didn’t work out because they didn’t have a dealer network and no convenient place nearby to test drive it. Given all the Elon nonsense, I’ll never buy a Tesla. There are many better choices.

The evergreens are not supposed to change colors in the Fall but these white pines are turning yellow. The Summer drought has badly affected all the vegetation in the area.


Our neighborhood trees are putting on their yearly colorful show.

This report about higher excess death rates due to Covid for Republicans in Ohio and Florida is not really surprising. It was and still is astonishing how many republicans were suspicious of the vaccine or even about existence of Covid. This is “Natural selection”.
